A New Triterpenoid from Doellingeria scaber

A new oleanane-type triterpene was isolated from the roots of Doellingeria scaber. Its structure was identified as 3-oxo-16(-hydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid based on 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy and X-ray analysis.
