1. In the 2006 film version of The Devil Wears Prada， Miranda Priestly， played by Meryl Streep， scolds her unattractive assistant for imagining that high fashion doesn‘t affect her， Priestly explains how the deep blue color of the assistant’s sweater descended over the years from fashion shows to departments stores and to the bargain bin in which the poor girl doubtless found her garment. （2013. 阅读。 Text 1）
【译文】2006年电影《穿Prada的女魔头》中，梅丽尔。斯特里普扮演的米兰达。普利斯特里一角对片中毫不起眼且认为自己丝毫不受高端时尚影响的.女助理批评不已，还讲述了女助理毛衣的深蓝色多年来先是流行于时尚秀场，然后风靡于百货商场，最后沦落到折价区，自然只有穷女孩才在这里买衣服。
【析句】本复合句中有两个独立句子，第一句是Miranda Priestly scolds her for imaging……，played by Meryl Streep作插入语定语，for imagining是介宾结构，imagining后又有that引导的宾语从句；第二句的主句为Priestly explains how the deep……descend from……to……and to……in which the poor girl……，how引导宾语从句，宾语从句中又包含in which引导的定语从句修饰bargain bin.
2. For H&M to offer a $5.95 knit miniskirt in all its 2，300-plus stores around the world， it must rely on low-wage overseas labor， order in volumes that strain natural resources， and use massive amounts of harmful chemicals.
【译文】H&M若想为全球2300多家专卖店提供价格低至5.95美元的编制迷你短裙，必然依赖于低成本的海外劳动力，大额订单以减少自然资源的使用，还要使用大量对人体有害的化学物质。
【析句】本句的结构比较清晰简单，首先是for H&M to offer……，for是介词，to offer 为不定式作补语，主句it must rely on overseas labor，order in volumes that……，and use……，有两个并列的动词rely on和use，其中，volumes后是that引导的定语从句。
3. Though several fast-fashion companies have made efforts to curb their impact on labor and the environment – including H&M， with its green Conscious Collection line –Cline believes lasting change can only be effected by the customer. （2013. 阅读。 Text 1）
【译文】几大时装厂商，都在设法减轻劳工和环境的压力，H&M甚至发起了“自觉环保”行动，不过席琳认为除非消费者们改变观念，否则还是白费力气。
【析句】本复合句的主句为Cline believes that……，比较清晰的主谓宾语从句结构，句前为though引导的让步状语从句，破折号中including……作插入语。注意，Conscious Collection line是H&M设计的一个时装系列，更多采用比如棉布等天然材料，以利于环保。
