Embrace success through various ways
Ladies and Gentlemen, last year ,when I was preparing for the College Entrance Examination, words like “Try your best to get into college ,or you’ll make a failure” are heard now and then .This reflects that nowadays, a large number of people consider college as the only way to success .What’s worse , Plato ,an Ancient Greek philosopher has given his understanding of education this way: Better be unborn than untaught , for ignorance is the root of misfortune .However, is it true that college education provides the only access to success, or we can’t realize the value of life without a college education background?
Robert Moses, an American state government officer said he had long since abandoned the notion that higher education is essential to either success or happiness. Hot houses of learning do not always grow anything edible. Why did he think so ,ladies and gentlemen? Now I would show you some facts:
From 1998 to 2007, nine years the number of students increased by six times, the growth rate is much higher than that of the population, economy and education. Increase in the number of college students should be a good thing. However, what we have seen today is just a decline in employment of college graduates in recent years and also wages of graduates .
On the contrary, we see Li Xiang, CEO of Net bubble has created his own career with only High School Education; we see Mao Kankan, President of MaJoy, who has just a Junior high school graduation is enjoying his prestige as well; let alone Bill·Gates ,everyone of us knows him ,right?
These people are successful, not only in terms of the great wealth, high reputation, but also the way they chose to success. Just as it is said: All roads lead to Rome.
Although they didn’t go to college or drop it halfway, they also learn a lot. That is to say, whether or not we go to college, one thing is undeniable , that is: learning is very important for the success of people ,and real success grows out purely of struggles to overcome difficulties, regardless of which road you would like to take.
So, ladies and gentlemen, let’s choose the most suitable roads ,and embrace success through various ways!
