　　When I was in high school, there was a teacher who taught me more than that in was a very kind boy, 4 or 5 years older than us and taught us geography.

　　We all liked to take his class, though geography was not our major course.

　　What impressed me a lot was his could see him always got angry only when we were too noisy in class,he often played soccer with used to be a very believable defender and never fouled on any of us.

　　We all liked to call him "Teacher Miao" and he was just like a friend, not a sonsy personality inspired me to be kind to everyone I was my well-beloved "Teacher Miao".

　　A Boom in Adult Education

　　Every Tuesday and Friday evening sees Miss Li，my neighbor and a secretary in a company rush home after a hard day’s work，gulp down her meals and then hurry out to catch the bus for her English class. Miss Li’s case is not unique，and now more and more city adults spend their leisure time trying to improve themselves at school or college.

　　There are a number of reasons for people to go back for their education. Some people，like Miss Li，are doing it to acquire another degree or diploma to impress the society. To them more knowledge，or rather，more credentials means more opportunities for better jobs and quicker promotion.

　　Other people，especially those who are laid off or out of employment go to vocational school to prepare to return to the job market. They are eager for new skills so that they can be qualified for the jobs in retail trade，administration，education and other service categories to which they are strange because most of them were blue-collar workers in the factory.

　　There are also people who come to take such courses as Chinese traditional medicine，painting，calligraphy and photography. As their working weeks decline people begin to have time to fulfill their old dream of their heart’s desire.

　　Out of necessity or out of interest，people go back to school for the common goal——to improve themselves，and this boom in adult education，in turn，helps to raise the intellectual standard of the whole country.

They are friendly and beautiful. They are students at Oxford University.　　We talked about many things: famous people, subjects in England, different jobs, our deal days, western star signs, what can we say in a restaurant and so on.　　We know lots of things, like what the difference is between “chef” and “cook”, all the parts of the body…　　We tried to write a letter to Principal Zhang. We made a play and we drew our own comics and tried to sell it. We gave some other students English lessons, we taught them about Chinese Dragon, Chinese Martial Arts and the Olympics.　　Every afternoon, we played exciting games: Chinese Whispers, Tongue Twisters, Wheelbarrow, egg and spoon, three legs…　　On the last day, we had a good time. We made black tea. We put tea bags, some milk and lots of water in to a big bowl, and then we stirred the tea until it became red and dark. Oh, it tasted good! Later, we used eggs, flour and milk to make many pancakes. To cook them is very interesting. When we finished it, the pancakes looked round and nice. We put some jam on it. How delicious! I won’t ever forget it.　　The summer Camp is a really good chance for me. I know the local things in England. I learned a lot and like English more. When at home, they should take responsibility, they can do some housework, and without their parents’ supervise, they still can handle their own house chore. If their parents have seen this, they will have the idea that the kids have grown up and to be an adult, they can make their own decision. So the students need to be independent in home, to prove they are adults, thus the parents will let them go and have more private space.
