　　When the bell rings around 4:10 p.m. thousands of students spill into streets. Notebooks and textbooks remain stored in lockers for the next day. Because of a desades-long practice of promoting failing students, some teens know they will advance to the next grade even if they don’t do the homework.

　　Meanwhile, teachers say they are faced with the daily dilemma of whether to move ahead in a lesson when often only five or ten students out of around 30 have done the homework assignment. 　　In spite of the flood disaster, a good harvest is still in sight.

　　Yesterday we went to a nearby village to help the peasants get in the crops. We left our school early in the morning. It took us half an hour to reach the village. As soon as we got there, we joined the peasants in their harvesting work. They taught us how to cut rice, and how to tie it. It was in the fields that we had our lunch. After lunch, we had a short rest. We were fascinated by the beautiful scenery of the countryside. It got dark when we returned home. We were very tired, but we felt very happy.

Finally, I took on a bus, then I felt so relieved, because I wouldn’t be late for school. Suddenly, the bus stopped and the driver told us to change another bus, because there was something wrong with the wheels. I was so worried. When I arrived school, I was late. It was such a bad day for me.

　　今天早上我醒来的时候我发现我比平时晚了半个小时起床，我才想起我昨晚没有调闹钟。因此我拿了点面包就冲到公共汽车站。公共汽车似乎总是在我需要的时候却不出现。最后，我坐上了公共汽车。我终于放松了，因为不会迟到了。可是车突然就停了，司机叫我们换车，因为车轮出故障了。我很焦急，等我到学校时，我已经迟到了。这对我来说真是糟糕的一天啊。
