《The wizard of Oz》Book Report I have been read 《The wizard of Oz》for a week. It is too attractive to put it down. Just yesterday, I finished it. The wizard of oz was really a wonderful novel. It brought me into the wonderland of the fairy tale. It said a story like this: Dorothy lived in Kansas with her Uncle Henry, Aunt Em and a little dog called Toto. One day a cyclone blows Dorothy and her dog Toto in it, to a strange place called Oz. In this way, Dorothy began her adventure, it was quite an experience. There were four witches and a very famous wizard——the Wizard of Oz in Oz. She wanted to get back to home so she got on the way to the wizard of Oz. On the road, she encountered the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion and they were in need of help, so they all took the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. On the way to the Emerald City they met some difficulties, but they solved them successfully. When they got there and met the Wizard of oz, they got a task——kill a bad witch, but they accept. When they went back to the Emerald City, they found the Wizard of Oz is Dorothy’s villager and he is just a conjurer. When the balloon to their hometown is going to set up, they did not get on it. They find the Witch of the South and found the way home. Dorothy went back to her hometown. I do admire Dorothy for her courage, she didn’t know the detail of the witch, but she went there and killed her at last. Maybe God blessed her from danger. I learn from her that no matter what difficulties we are facing, we shouldn’t move back. On the other hand, one good return deserves another. Dorothy helped the people of Oz, so she got the magic shoes and hat and managed to go back to Kansas. ‘East, west—home is the best!’ That is true. Whatever what is the view outside, how beautiful is it, breast is important. Dorothy thirsted for going hometown, though Kansas has no trees, no green hills, no gardens, but it’s her hometown. “HOME” What a warm ward! There are our parents here; there are also our favorite things here. At home, we feel safe, we feel comfortable, and we can relax ourselves. No matter where we are, home is always the best place for us. During our life, maybe you always complain that you do not have enough wisdom, braveness, sensibility, but consider calmly, it is that true? In fact, they are always getting by exercises; you can gain them when you try to solve the trouble by yourself. In the story, the Scarecrow wanted some brains, but on the way to the Emerald City, he thought out of a way to cross the river; the Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave, but when they met the river, he carried other friends to jump across it; and the Tin Man wanted a heart, he said he could not love, but he did not want to hurt any animal. Of course you know they all have the things they want on: the Scarecrow is clever, the Cowardly Lion is brave and the Tin Man is kind-hearted. All of them are in your heart, if you believe it, you will find they are always being. When we are in trouble, we should calm down, watch the things around carefully, and try to think out of a way to solve it, just like the Scarecrow. We also should be brave as we are in danger, we can’t be afraid, we should face the difficulty and try to go through it, just like the Cowardly Lion. And we should learn to love people, to feel sorry for people, to make more friends, to get on well with everyone around us, just like the Tin Man. I think everybody ought to read 《The wizard of Oz》, it is a signiticative chef oeuvre, let us walk into affection’s world together!
